Unable to add contact from Email since "new" ATT email page
Ever since my email changed to the "new" upgraded email, I am unable to add a contact from an email that is sent to me. I've searched through help but cannot find anything that addresses this issue. It was easy to add a contact prior to this; I would just click on the sender's email address and it would give me the option to add a new contact. It doesn't do this anymore. I'm not sure if this is connected or not, but a lot of my emails that are legitimate are going to my Spam folder since the upgrade, so I have to go through my spam folder constantly to make sure I'm not missing anything. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciate!

Hi, @Ikoolsone.
You can create contacts in your email by doing the following:
You can also set it up to automatically add the email addresses to your address book.
As for the unintentional spam issue, you'll need to create a filter for the emails to make sure they get directed to the correct place. This can be done by doing the following:
You can also edit, delete, or prioritize filters.
We hope this helps!

Unless yahoo changed the way their email works, which I seriously doubt, ATTCares gave you incorrect info about creating filters to stop spam. You can't do that since the spam filters take precedence over user defined filters. All you can do is try to train the spam filters that stuff is not spam by marking it as such. Eventually, maybe, the spam filters will get trained.
Why did the filters change so that stuff that wasn't spam before is now classed as spam? I don't know. Spam filters are not static.
As for the contacts, try using a different browser for comparison. Contacts should be working.

I would like to add the email sender address and contact information to "my contacts".
I used to be able to click and choose "add sender to contacts" , however with the new Yahoo email, I am not able to.
I have tried to find the three dots that everyone keeps referring to but they are not there.
I am looking for a way to not type, manually, every sender that I want to save. Moreover, I do not want to automatically save EVERY email recipient address either. any suggestions?

When you reply to a sender it does get added to the auto-suggest list (the menu that pops up when you type a letter in the To field. However I think you are right in that I don't see how to add a sender to the contacts lists other by explicitly adding it. More "quality" yahoo UI design I guess.

I agree; and this is a loss of functionality. Liked the ease of adding contacts from email messages and liked adding senders as contacts from spam which would be a definite plus for future emails from legitimate senders.
Wonder what eta on getting this feature back is.

ETA? I'd would say never. You could try clicking the settings gear and when that pane comes up click "Give Feedback" at the bottom and complain. IMO it won't do any good but what the heck.

I shouldn't have to go to "add contact" to add a contact from an email that was sent to me. You used to be able to click on the email address and choose to make a new contact from within the email sent to you. Is there any way to do this? That was quick and easy. The way you describe is quite laborious in comparison. Thank you!

More time involved in something that used to be so easy! Same thing with not having page numbers for all of your emails. If I want to delete a bunch of emails from two years ago, it won't search for those parameters using just the "to" and "from" dates...you have to scroll and scroll and scroll. Thanks for your reply.
