Some - but not all - Calendar entries disappear

I use yahoomail.com & have an sbcglobal.net email address.  There have been several occasions when some - but not all - of my calendar entries disappear, for no obvious reason.

Today I noticed that:
1) ALL my birthday entries disappeared
2) Some - but not all - of other entries disappeared

My wife and I share this email account & are occasionally logged on at the same time.  I don't know if this would have any impact.

We also have iPhones & iPads that we access this account from.  I wonder if sync'ing between the devices could cause problems?  (Once upon a time, the Yahoo Calendar iPhone app synced with the web-based calendar.  Since an "upgrade" (I believe it was iOS 7.0), the Yahoo Calendar iPhone app does not behave properly: it does not get updated with new entries from other devices.

Is there any way to keep this from happening?  Can  retrieve the lost entries?  Can I backup/download Calendar entries?  (While there is an Export option under Actions for Contacts, there isn't such an option for the Calendar.)

Hello @harolde

I found that it works better for me when I separate my calendar sync from email on my iOS devices via CalDAV set up. I would start troubleshooting there as it's very likely that somehow your iPhones or iPads overwriting calendar entries. On your iOS devices, first go to Settings --> Mail, Contacts, Calendars --> Select your sbcglobal account and uncheck calendar, then try to add a Calendar separately using these directions:

+Synching your Yahoo Calendar using CalDAV

Sync just your Yahoo Calendar with your device's calendar app.

  1. Tap the Settings icon on your device's Home screen.
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. Tap Other.
  5. Under "Calendars," tap Add CalDAV Account.
  6. Enter your:
  7. Tap Next to complete set up.

Don't worry, if for some reason it doesn't work, you can always turn it back on via email set up and remove CalDAV settings.

Thanks,

Dmitriy

I am trying to sync my yahoo calendar and my ipad/iphone calendar that is also a shared calendar with my husband. All I really want is to see the ipad/iphone calendar on my computer (not an Apple product). I have gotten as far as having added items on my Yahoo calendar that then show up on my ipad, but none of the ipad/iphone calendar items show up on my Yahoo calendar...any thoughts on how to fix this?
