SMTP blocked

Hi- After getting U-Verse, all my email accounts worked fine (I have several providers, like Fatcow, GoDaddy, Rackspace, Gmail).... both sending and receiving.

Then sudently the sending via the GoDaddy SMTP server stopped working. Downloading OK.

Reading the forums I see that ATT could be blocking on pourpose.

Can you please release the SMTP ports for GoDaddy's SMTP server (smtpout.secureserver.net)?

Thanks, Alexandre

By default, AT&T blocks outbound port 25 traffic.  Some have been able to get AT&T to lift this block on request.

Well, they are not blocking the SMTP for my other email servers, I get the impression they are blocking the GoDaddy SMTP server by name. Anyway, the only SMTP they are blocking is for my main work email, and I work from home 30% of the time. If ATT does not allow me to send emails from home then I need to get a new internet service provider, since I can not send emails to customers from my private email, it looks really bad. Thanks for your input.

@ahebra   Then see if ATT Uverse Care can help.  Contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature.

Send them a Private Message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse service SMTP problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends), response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap and gone above and beyond.

Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

Thanks for the suggestion. I sent a private message to the ATT-Uverse address. Will let you know if the issue is solved. Cheers
