Service light goes blank even though Wireless, Broadband and Power lights are solid green.

I have an ATT PACE DSL Gateway Model 4111N modem which has worked for the past year but last week I had an issue all of a sudden where the Power, Wireless, and Broadband lights are solid green, but the Service light is blank. When I restart the modem the Service light is blinking green, then goes to solid red, then goes blank again. After giving up for the night it was working again in the morning. Now it has happened again and no matter how many times I unplug and restart my modem I will still not have service.
