Search email tool in Yahoo email not working
The Search email tool in Yahoo email for my ATT account is no longer working. It does not find emails from senders that are clearly in my "In Box," and does not find key words either. It does not work if I am using Chrome v. 42.0 or Internet Explorer 9. Advanced earch does not work either. It either returns no results, or a cople of random emails from the past day or two.
This worked fine until recently, but something changed in the past couple of weeks and this essential feature is no longer functioning.

I have exactly the same problem (not related at all to AT&T) !
Yahoo should be ashamed to propose such a {edited for word filter evasion} email service ! Not even able to index properly their emails for search !!! Switching Conversation on/off and switching from Normal to Basic client didn't solved anything 😞
The search is BROKEN. I have one mail in front of me and when I input content or subject or date or sender data in the search or advanced search it doesn't find ANY mail...
Awful !

It's a a pity yes..well all know the options:
1. potent less YAHOO CORP
2. No will to resolve the probleme
SOLUTION: GMAIL
They cant even solve a small problem like this, they are a humiliating company to work with

So it's 2016 and people are still having this issue with no resolution? Is the only option to go to gmail?

I had this problem a couple times, and yes, it is maddening. It has been working fine for months now, but the problem started again today. And to think that Yahoo has it's root as a search engine. I see the frustrations that others have posted about attempting to get some help from Yahoo, so I will spare myself the effort to do likewise.
Update - the search function seems to be working again.

They told me that also, I am not paying for something that is there issue. I can search with my phone also, I also have a problem with opening PDF files from one customer. which I can open from my phone. they told me to use the fee help. NO!!!

Not much commentary on this strand in some time, but two days ago the search feature on my bellsouth.net email account stopped working. Just spins the circle of death and will not produce any results. I use this feature at least a dozen times a day for work, so I'm dead in the water without.
A temporary fix I just found:
Go to settings > last option is "Mail version".... when I switch over to "basic" I can use the search feature. What a joke.
Based on the previous posts I anticipate my search feature will one day mysteriously start working...and then stop again just the same way.
