Search email tool in Yahoo email not working
The Search email tool in Yahoo email for my ATT account is no longer working. It does not find emails from senders that are clearly in my "In Box," and does not find key words either. It does not work if I am using Chrome v. 42.0 or Internet Explorer 9. Advanced earch does not work either. It either returns no results, or a cople of random emails from the past day or two.
This worked fine until recently, but something changed in the past couple of weeks and this essential feature is no longer functioning.

I know how ya feel! Does anyone know how to petition att tech en masse since there is a whole bunch of us going crazy with this terrible problem?

Hey Everyone,
I was able to contact customer suppoer via a private message and had this resolved within a week. Try Here https://forums.att.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2365485
I was emailed back directly and had someone working one on one with me via phone and email.

Hi all, this was the response I got from att customer care to my email. So, no hope ahead....unacceptable. Not sure what to do except I emailed him back to ask for a supervisor's email and I'm going to call again.
audionllc--
Can you post what the fix was when you emailed customer care since your issue was resolved within a week? That would be great! Thanks

I was told that there was a problem but that there was no ETA to fix it. And not sure what to do but try to call again.

Here is more:
They say it is a yahoo problem and to try Thunderbird or Outlook as they have their own search ability until yahoo solves the issue. Att is subject to yahoo's resolution timeline.....
I tried Thunderbird the other day and it didn't work but I'll try again.

I "think" my search is working again - on att.net and Firefox.
Being cautious.

Mine still doesn't work--on any browser.
The last communication I got was to try Thunderbird because that has its own search mechanism. I did. I migrated all my emails there and that meant they would be in both places. However, once I did that, all of my unread emails in the att account now show up as read--which is also disastrous for my work. Very frustrating with no help forthcoming.

This is not an ATT problem, it's a Yahoo! issue, as it's happening with other providers as well. I do not use ATT for internet, and I've been trying for 2 weeks to get a reply from Yahoo! with no luck. There's apparently no way to reach customer service without getting bounced back to their Help page.
This was their response, which got me nowhere:
Hi,
Thanks for contacting Yahoo.
Thanks for getting in touch with us to see how you can contact Yahoo Customer Care for future concerns. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct email address where you can reach Yahoo Customer Care.
We suggest visiting Help Central and clicking "Contact Us for Product Issues" in the "Quick Links" box at the right of the page.
You'll be taken to our Contact Us form where you can find provide more information about your difficulties and get assistance from our online Community Support team, the Yahoo Help pages, and our email-based Customer Care technical support teams.
You can find some extra information about this (and other Yahoo! products) through http://help.yahoo.com
Thanks again,
Lisa
