Search email tool in Yahoo email not working

The Search email tool in Yahoo email for my ATT account is no longer working. It does not find emails from senders that are clearly in my "In Box," and does not find key words either. It does not work if I am using Chrome v. 42.0 or Internet Explorer 9. Advanced earch does not work either. It either returns no results, or a cople of random emails from the past day or two.

This worked fine until recently, but something changed in the past couple of weeks and this essential feature is no longer functioning.

My email on my computer started doing the same thing yesterday. It will only search through emails received in the last 24 hours. However, if I log onto my Yahoo email from my phone, the search function works correctly and will search all of my emails, no matter how old they are. 

 

Any leads on what can be the problem?

The odd thing for me is the search function works fine when I log onto my mail on my phone. It's only when I log on on my computers that it will now only search emails received in the last 24 hours. 
Have you tried accessing email from your phone?

I have the same problem.  When I search my e-mail, I get a message that I need to sign in as verification.  And when I click to sign-in, I receive an error message that states that credentials cannot be verified.  It makes no sense and needs to be fixed.

Well, now it seems to be working, though I did nothing to the settings. It still sometimes returns a lot of extraneous results, but at least it is functional.

And yes, it worked on my Windows phone all along when it wasn't working on my notebook.

I am also having problems with mail search.  It began yesterday with telling me to login again after searching but it did not take me to the login screen.  After reading suggestions  on the Internet, I cleared my history, cache, etc. and tried it again.  Now it searches but only returns a few results from the last day or two.  I called AT&T Support and was told they were not aware of any problems and suggested I call their fee based support and pay to see if they could fix it.  Has anyone tried their fee based support on this issue and had success with it?

The search function in my att yahoo e-mail account ceased working today. This is a huge problem for me as I am an attorney and use the function to retrieve work e-mails efficiently. Has anyone received any feedback about the status of the correction?

I am having the same problem...I cannot search for emails that are clearly in my inbox or sent box. The only ones that come up in a search are those that were sent within the past day. This is extremely frustrating. I really need to be able to search for emails...my business depends on it. I hope this problem will be resolved soon or I really don't know what I will do!

Yes, mine has been haywire since April...I've been thinking it was something I did, but it is certainly not working and driving me crazy!  Anyone get theirs fixed yet???

Same problem. I spent two hours on the chat customer service feature last week when the problem first started. They were completely unhelpful and just told me to do all the things I had already tried: empty cache, reset, try in other browsers---none of which worked. Then, suddenly, a few days later out of the blue it started working again. Now, again, it is not! When I persisted that they needed to fix this they said it was a problem that "yahoo was working studiously to fix." But it is still a problem and is critical for me in my work that the search funtion is fixed.
