sbcglobal.net email

Will I still receive email from sbcglobal.net after mine was cleared of all email on 12/22/2017 due to the separation from Yahoo. I have set up a Yahoo account but still want to use sbcglobal.net address since this has been my address for many years.

For the most part, if your account has been cancelled in good standing, you are allowed to keep the email. If you have any specific questions, please message by clicking HERE, and we will be able to answer any more specifics. Dan G., AT&T Community Specialist

My account was never cancelled. My email and all my folders were moved to a Yahoo account. Why? I had a Yahoo email account in 2000-2001 . Moved to Texas and had Road Runner account until about 2011. When u-verse became available in my area I switched to at&t. The at&t tech came set me up with u-verse tv, phone and internet, giving me an sbcglobal.net email account which is what I have been using and still use. Why was  my account effected?

That is very nice of you, but after several hours of changing my email address on many accounts  I figured out how to have both the Yahoo account and sbcglobal account appear  on my devices. Now I still have access to my folders in Yahoo and can receive email from sbcglobal. I can just forward to Yahoo account to save in my folders without having to reset them up. I appreciate your time to answer me. I was just surprised that it happened when it said sbcglobal.net accounts would not be changed. The Flicker and other various things that I never used would have to be accessed through Yahoo. So imagine my surprise when I opened my email account and everything looked different, only a couple emails, none of my folders with all my info and emails that I had opened but not moved or deleted gone. Even though I am 71yo I did remember my old user name at Yahoo, requested new password, didn't remember that, and found all of my folders and the emails I was looking for. It took me a while but I think everything is okay now. Wasn't a very nice Merry Christmas, AT&T☺☺  However Merry Christmas to You!
