sbcglobal.net addy hijacked and locked out

I need a temporary password or code to access my email. How can I get that? Recently, when trying to open the sbcglobal email inbox a page has taken over, shown in the image below. Knowing it had to be a scamming hijack I tried to close the tab but couldn't until I went to another tab and either clicked the x or right clicked on that tab, choosing close tab. This does not happen to the yahoo inbox this address used to be attached to, nor on any other tabs or pages I've been to. Also, the sbc addy link is still shown in the yahoo inbox in the drop down below my name. But that route doesn't work for log in either. I cannot log into my internet or email account.

It also came to my attention that a spam email was received by my contacts, coming from a different email address but the salutation contained the personal name I'd attached to the email address and my business name was in the signature. So, I tried to change the password on the accounts, was successful with the yahoo address but when I attempted to change it for the sbc address, (including from the start.att.net page) the password was rejected. I attempted forgot password, didn't recognize having given those security questions but answered them with the only possible answer, nothing too personal so no harm done. But that was rejected too so I asked for a temporary password, was told it would be mailed to my home address. That was last Saturday, 5 days ago. I have run scans and cleaned my computer, including clearing cookies and cache. Tried from another devise too, no luck.

Scam SBC Yahoo mail.jpghijack

My first attempt to write this post bogged my computer down so bad, even with everything else closed except start.att.net/ , that it was using 95% of my memory and between 65 and 100% of my resources. As a side note I clicked on a link given by a rep here in another thread and it was a bad link, not formatted correctly. I don't have any problem with any links on my website and it seems reasonable that the company that provides my internet and an email that is required to have an account with them, would be able to handle the tech side of their service. Yahoo is bad enough but why would ATT SBC disconnected from them but still use yahoo for their email service? Makes no sense at all, considering all the yahoo attacks. Please hire competent help, for both email service and web formating. (I could use a work from home job. All my website links work well and there are tools to double check. Smiley Wink

Since I was getting no response here, I found a chat box at https://www.att.com/esupport/ and Victoria kindly helped me reset the password and gain access. Be sure to add an alternate email to the account if you don't have a mobile number that can be used. That would have saved me a lot of trouble.
