sbcglobal email address not receiving mail

I recently gained access to a very old email address because it is the recovery email for an account i need to get into. It is an email address with a @sbcglobal.net domain. However, the inbox is empty and remains empty. I send test emails and they never show up.

We recommend resetting your email password to resync your account.
Due to improved security of the AT&T email, you may need to create a secure mail key to access your email using an email app. This encrypts your username and password and protects you from hackers.
