Reset to factory settings BGW210-700

I was subject to a phishing attack and let a scammer into my computer. I don't know if my router has malware but I want to reset as a precaution.

I presume you're asking how to do this.

With the BGW powered on hold down the little red reset button >15 seconds then release.  It'll take a couple of minutes to come back ready.

Note that any changes/customizations you've done to the gateway like different wifi network names/passwords or any other settings will all be wiped out and you'll have to re-do those once it's back up and running.

This was NOT the case for me. It DID reset after 30 seconds holding the red button, but retained it's settings. Option #2 is open the gateway's configuration interface and browse to Diagnostic-->Resets and go to the bottom of the page and look for <Reset Device>. This WILL return your BGW210-700 to its factory default settings.  According to TONYDI, I'm wrong. (Wouldn't be the first time. Just reporting on my experience.) Thanks for your input though, TONY.

It is absolutely true.  If it doesn't wipe the customized settings and put everything back to factory stock then either you didn't hold the button down long enough or your gateway has an issue.
