Policy Filtersets under reason next to UDP in my modem logs
Would someone help with the meaning of "policy [filtersets, etc.] Why are these logs going to a different destinations IP address other than my own? AT&T Tech support does not know the answer to technical questions all they know how to do is get the internet up and running and I can't understand their broken English anyway

Hi @justnow22,
It sounds like the log you're viewing is showing you the traffic between applications or sites you have been accessing. These sites or applications will likely have firewall settings using filters for UDP connections, which will have to pass through their filters to be approved or blocked by the firewall policy.
However, this type of support will be limited through conventional customer service, so the best place to get answers to these questions will be through our paid technical support team, ConnecTech.
Thank you for reaching out to AT&T's Community and Forums Team.

Hold on I pay a $340 bill every month and hardly get the service I pay for but to get help with this, I need to pay MORE to other people? I understand you don't set the rules as an employee but AT&T seriously (Edited per community guidelines). They have monopolized my area and they know it so they won't fix the issues here. I'm not paying to get it fixed, I'll either figure it out myself or go door to door and see if I can get a (Edited per community guidelines) for failure to provide advertised service.

Let's make sure your internet is working properly, @a_mad_mom!
Could you provide us with more information on the service issues you're experiencing? Are you experiencing the same thing as the original poster?
If you're experiencing internet issues, we recommend using our Smart Home Manager app to diagnose and troubleshoot your internet. Just scroll down to where it says Smart Home Manager features for instructions.

I have issues with the internet for I think 4 years. It was fine when we first got it, but then it started slowing way down (and we only get 6 Mbps down, anyway). Then it just started dropping randomly several times a day. My son can't even play a stupid video game because the internet is so ATROCIOUS here. We are 1) a rural area and 2) on copper wire and I believe at&t is such a grasping and greedy company, they are basically allowing the connections to deteriorate because they don't want to spend the money to fix it. A 3 minute video school work is NOT doable because the stupid things buffers constantly!
AT&T keeps trying to send modems/gateways like that will somehow magically be the answer, except it's not. When I called them last week to tell them the truck didn't show to do the work it was supposed to here, not only did they argue me down, but they also sent a message that said I may be charged a dispatch fee AND they told the tech who came out (AGAIN_) that the truck had been here, when it had NOT been. It went up to a spot that is known to make trouble here because they didn't know there'd been hail damage that beat utility boxes half to death. It is 2023 and AT&T can't even keep a pathetic 6 Mbp connection going, despite the best efforts of their customer service and tech support. I tried to switch, but guess what? NOBODY ELSE DOES this area or that's what I get from them once they get the address.
I have the smart home and the myatt apps and neither one does the first bit of good if the internet drops every 20 minutes and stays down for 5 minutes.
