Please help - No one within ATT can seem to unmerge my ATT and Yahoo emails

I hafve not used ATT email or service in over 4 yrs.  My origina ATT account is so old it is a account.

To be brief, I figured out how to reset me original login and and password followed the instructions found in other forums as well as from ATT and when attempting to DELETE the account from my profile - I get an error saying "The functionality that you have requested is currently unavailable. Please try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you."

I have called 877-267-2988 and they cant help.  I have called 877-722-3755 and they say to follow the same instructions as above.

How do the accounts get UNLINKED after 4 yrs?

Thank you for posting. As far as I know, AT&T's instructions always advised to unmerge Yahoo from AT&T before an Internet account is canceled, to avoid these exact issues. I'm very sorry, I personally don't know if it can be done at this point, but you can try calling AT&T's web support line @ 1-877-312-5550, we had other users report good results with them in the past.
