Outgoing Email problems

Have no idea if new issue or old but finding fix leads to anxiety. Sending email doesn't send then get the Outlook 2013 error ""This certificate has been revoked by it certification authority. issued to: smtp.mail.yahoo.com  by: Equifax secure certificate authority valid from 11/10/2006 to 11/10/2011."" ( i tried to paste the screen shot but this box wouldn't accept it) i've had this pc since MS dropped support of XP in 2014. So for the last 3 years i've sent hundreds of emails with no problems. going thru the email setup doesn't give me an option to change modify the smtp source. to what should be smtp.mail.att.net. and the fear factor of if set up a new account from the file menu what happens to the existing stuff in outlook? also going thru the self help i saw some things that suggested changing from POP to SMTP. the old yahoo was pop. sure wished myatt would offer "chat available" in the internet/email section of help and setup.  what else do the endusers need to know or fix with sell off of yahoo.com.  I'm sure many of us do the same things. Our phones have 2 or more email accounts and our PC's the same.   Thanks

To change just the SMTP server in Outlook 2013 use Steps 1 - 5 here:

www.authsmtp.com/outlook-2013/default-port.html

then just click "Next".

Thanks, Lem3, I went thru the setup suggestions using 25 or 2525 and they
didn't work.

The original does work after installing the new certificate.

The problem was the certificate. What was confusing was the valid dates?

Because it's a very new problem not a 6yr old problem.

The solution was to Install Certificate it went off and did something came
back wanted to know if it could update something in the rundllfile (don't
know)

Did a test email with no errors. Magic. And don't know how to look at
certificates or what they do but somewhere there was "smtp.mail.yahoo.com"
that was hidden.

Loved the tech support folks that I had when I worked for SBC.

Thanks again, retired-SBC
