Need to verify server settings on my email IMAP or POP3

When I initially set up Microsoft 365' s Outlook 2016 email client, I set my primary computer's mail as POP3, not realizing at the time the issues with IMAP vs POP3 on my laptop, also running MS 365/Outlook. After a lengthy session with MS, I need to see if the mail server on my account thinks its IMAP or still POP3. Don't see any way to accomplish that on the site.

Thanks in advance...

Hi @ddunk1946, we are delighted to halp.

Want to check your AT&T email using an email program or app? Here’s the info you need to get it up and running.

Your desktop email program (like Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail) or mobile email app will use either POP3 or IMAP to send and receive email. Be sure to use the right server and port settings.

If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!

Thanks, I'm aware of those. It has more to do with changing my AT&T /yahoo mail setup from POP3 to IMAP on my Microsoft 365's Outlook 2016. After even setting up a new profile that didn't help, we are wondering if your server is holding on to some aspects of POP3, as strange as that sounds.
