Need to Delete Sub-Account

I have seen some posts which say sub-accounts cannot be deleted, that they need to be disabled for 90 days before they are auto-deleted (which is kinda silly). Other posts I have seen seemed to indicate that a sub-account can be deleted, there are actual steps to do so, but I cannot follow those steps as I don't seem to have the functionality described in those posts. I understand AT&T may wish to give customers time to change their minds but 90 days seems WAY overboard. My question: is there or is there not a way to delete a sub-account which you know 100% will no longer be used? If there is, it i snot obvious. Thanks much!

We're happy to provide some clarity about removing your subaccount, @TXNutz!

At this time, there is no way to manually delete a subaccount. Once it has been disabled and inactive for 90 days, it will be automatically deleted.

If you haven't already, you can disable your subaccount by following these steps:

  • Go to your myAT&T Profile on a computer or tablet.
  • Choose Account users.
  • If you have more than one account, choose the account you want to manage from the dropdown.
  • Select Manage subaccount users.
  • Next to the subaccount that you want to change, select Disable. You can also enable a disabled subaccount.

Please feel free to reach back out if you need help in the future. Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums!
