Missing mail and folders since server settings change

For at least the last couple of years with MacMail my server settings was imap.mail.yahoo.com & smtp.mail.yahoo.com.
The last week or so I wasn’t able to sign in on my iMac’s mail. The password and user name was correct, still didn’t work.
after a few days talking here with the @@AT&T help team I was advise to delete the email account and re add it with the new server settings of imap.mail.att.net and smtp.mail.att.net.

This new settings change got me up and going again and for that I thank the team and am very appreciative.

First let me say My AT&T/Yahoo website mail and Mobil devices (iPhone and iPad) were never affected, only my iMac.

Even after the new server settings, they were all fine except for MacMail on my iMac.
After the servers setting were changed most of the folders I created along with the emails inside were no longer present. To be clear, they were still on the mobile devices and online but were completely wiped from my MacMail.

If I would have known this were going to happen I could have exported all the folders (mailboxes) and imported after the settings change.

is there any way to export the online folders/mailboxes or have AT&T synch the mail from the old server settings to the new server settings.

Here are a couple of screenshots of the folders/mailboxes from the online AT&T mail  app. These (and more) were on the iMac and are still on the mobile devices.

This is what is now on my iMac’s MacMail

Thank you

Hello again, Robec1347, glad to answer your question about syncing your email on the new server.

At this point in time, there's no option to export folders from on old server to a new one. If you have any other questions about your email, we'll be here.

Thank you for visiting the AT&T Community Forums.

Thank you for your response even though not the answer I was hoping to get.

My suggestion to AT&T is that the next time the server settings are changed  to let customers know so they will have a chance to export folders and mailboxes then import them after the change.

Thank you for all of the responses and help. It is appreciated.
