How is McAfee "telling you" to renew? Via an email or text, or does the McAfee software on the computer pop up a notice someplace?
If the software itself isn't telling you that, then it's a scam.

i open the mcafee att internet security center and there is a blue banner on the upper right corner that says Subscription ends in 7 days
The security suite is included in the price of my internet. Why am i getting this message?

When did you download/install this copy?
Look back I can see that this has come up before and what one poster said was that they ignored it and the notice went away and the software continued to update. So you can try waiting it out and see what happens.
If it does expire you can go to THIS link to get instructions on downloading a new copy.
