Hey @ryanstinfo,

We are here to help with your Email server. Please make sure you are not using port 25. Port 25 is blocked by AT&T due to spam and malware vulnerabilities. You can find out more on AT&T Network Practices

You will need to verify your IP is not on any blacklists. After you verify no blacklists. You will need to Email our postmaster at abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net as you have done to remove the block. Find out more on our postmaster here.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks max, we are sending to ATT not sending out of ATT. Thank you for the info. We are off of the SORBS blacklist as of this morning. i will resubmit the ATT email again to make sure. Over the last 10 years, this forum or ones like it have been the only way to get help on ATT blacklist blocks. Ill give it the weekend to see if the abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net removes the block.  Normally i never get a response and wait a week or 2 and then find someone on these forums that can get the issue fixed with a day.

Thank you,

Ryan

Best thing to do is give it 2 or 3 try's and wait a day or 2 for a response with the abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

It has been better about working the last couple of times but my average is still about 20% on it getting fixed using the email above over the past few years.  If you still have are having issues create a new post here and give as much info as you can. similar to my first post. I've had 2 diferent people on here that were alot of help and could get the info to the right people.

So,  I was just sort of shunned on this forum by another user because I am not a customer but rather a victim of ATT.net blacklisting us  ( we are a bank and our employees send emails to customers with AT&T addresses )

There is not a phone number or support for non-customers of AT&T   Businesses affected by this issue and I'm more than frustrated when I read that I have to sit around and hope that someone gets around to answering and clearing the block for us.   Can any tell me if they have had this and how they managed?

Still having the same problem on my end for over a month. Nothing from AT&T.

There is no phone number published for this.  The e-mail is the documented mechanism.

My advice is to be sure your e-mail looks like it was written by a human, not a bot.  Explain the history of the IP address to you, and your commitment to SPAM-free e-mail including what you've done to prevent any abuse.

@HStanwick

We are in the same boat. We are a private ambulance company with 4100 employees and text our employees to pick up shifts. Employees on other carriers have no issues. I have emailed the abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net 3 times and still have no response. I have been on a call currently for 2 hours and explained the situation to 3 people with no luck

How did you find a number to call? Would you mind sharing the number so I can give it a try?

I called the 8003370500 and was transferred 4 times. I ended up disconnecting the call as I got tired of explaining the issue and them not having a clue. They were trying to do account level trouble shooting and that was not issue.

That is not a useful number for this purpose.  I hope the moderators will remove it before someone else wastes hours of their time calling it.

Hello,

I’m receiving the following error stating that our mail server IP (162.241.192.41) is blocked.

There’s no reason why this would be.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

###@sbcglobal.net
  host al-ip4-mx-vip1.prodigy.net [144.160.235.143]
  SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<###@###>:
  553 5.3.0 alpd681 DNSBL:RBL 521< 162.241.192.41 >_is_blocked.For assistance forward this error to abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net

Please unblock!

Thanks

Posting here will do nothing towards getting your server unblocked.

Forward the e-mail to the address indicated.  Take a few minutes to ensure that your e-mail looks like it was human authored, explain the history of the IP address affected and what you're doing to prevent it being used for SPAM.

@JefferMC

I do not believe people are posting here to get a server unblocked, but rather hoping to find some direction to get it unblocked. As of now AT&T is useless in the situation. After 3 weeks I got this response from AT&T. I did email the [email scrubbed] as what they describe might be the issue. I'm assuming I will need to wait another 3 weeks.

We need the IP address of the server sending mail from you to our customer/s.  This information is provided in the non-delivery report that would be returned to you in the event that there was a problem with mail delivery.  If your mail server truncates that part of the error message, it may be necessary for you to conduct a manual session with our mail server to capture the blocked IP address.  If you do not receive a rejection message then your messages are potentially being filtered as bulk.  If you believe that to be the case, email [email scrubbed] and request the Bulk Mail form to be whitelisted.

@JefferMC if your not going to post anything useful maybe don't post at all

@EliteAmbulance , please take your own advice.

SpartanHoldings included the text "Please unblock!" in his message, showing a clear expectation that someone reading this thread could and/or would unblock his server.  Since that expectation is erroneous, I wanted to properly steer him in the correct direction.  I didn't, for example, provide a phone number that isn't appropriate or useful.

@JefferMC

Number was provided to show it was useless to call them. Again none of your post are helpful to an end user with an issue
