Lost email not found on accelerator etc.

About a year ago, I lost access to my yahoo email. I kept getting "not found on accelerator" error message. My parent account was/is at att.net domain, which was linked to my yahoo.com email. I finally spoke with a tech on the phone, who said he was familiar with the issue. He sent me to another telephone extension and I spoke with a second tech. She was familiar with the error message, and said she would add my email address to the list of those to be fixed. 48 hours she said. Well, 48 hours later, I logged in to my att.net address and I actually signed on. Too bad it was brand new, no old emails, nothing! I tried to log in to my yahoo address, and no luck. It keeps redirecting me to att page, which has me use my att username to log in. The yahoo address does not seem to be linked to the att address any longer. It seems as if the tech just reset my old address to a new account. I sent a test email to the att.net email, it worked ok. thanks for the new email I could have done that myself! I tried to email my old yahoo address and it showed my old yahoo icon! I think the account still exists, but I cannot access it.
