Issues with Outlook
We are having issues with outlook getting the sbcglobal account downloading emails however it does send out emails. Below is the message. I have also changed the password and that didn't help. - Receiving' reported error (0x80042110) : 'Your POP3 server is providing inconsistent information. The number of messages returned by the STAT command does not match the number of items returned by the UIDL or LIST commands. Contact your POP3 or Internet service provider.'

We recommend that you check your server settings for your email. This will be the POP vs IMAP settings. This will help with the email not being able to download to the server.

The setting is correct. This happen fee days ago and we didn’t make any changes.
so you are suggesting to chsnge the setting from pop to imap ?

Making the change will it cause anything in the short term ? Can we then switch it back ?

The IMAP works but the POP still does not. With IMAP you can't really load your profile.
I really need the POP to work because the yahoo email has too many emails

Yes, everything is correct. We can send emails out but new emails are not downloading. We are getting the same message.
