Intermittant e-mail server login rejected for my Outlook 2010

This happens from time to time.....very annoying.  Is there a solution?


Task 'inbound.att.net - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings.  The server responded: -ERR [SYS/TEMP] internal server error (#IS6532)'

I tried turning off my Avast anti virus mail shield.....that didnt resolve the error.   Still fails intermittantly.....and unfortunately that will prevent Outlook from making another attempt later.....till i click on the error and clear it.....  Hate to have to get a new mail progream.....

Not a Outlook problem. Fails with Windows Live Mail, Outlook Express, Outlook and

Thunderbird. Fails with a different computer and modem. Also getting server not

found going to different we sites. All of this is intermittent trouble. My trouble started

on 2/25/2015. I also turned off Avast and firewall, no help. I turned off addons in

Thunderbird, no help. Imap to Outlook.com does not fail. I set up Windows Live mail

to pop.att.yahoo.com, no help. I can't tell if web mail fails.

I am having the same issue, on my Inbound message, and have tried every recommended "fix", and nothing works.  

 

The outbound works fine.  How can one accept my log-in, but the other not!?  It all the same log-in info, and I've verified my settings at least a dozen times.  I even changed my password, and deleted the email account, from Outlook, and added it again.

Same exact problem here, on 2 different computers (both use Thunderbird) in 2 different geographical locations (WI, FL), all in the last week.  Inbound authentication errors seem to occur about 20% of the time, outbound is fine.

 

Strangely, while my Thunderbird email client is having these problems, the AT&T/Yahoo Webmail seems to work fine.

I have had this same problem for quite some time, and it absolutely drives me nuts! I sure wish there was a way to fix it permanently. I can't understand how it can send/receive perfectly fine one second, and then fail the next. My wife and I both have ATT mail accounts, using Outlook, and we see it on both. She has Office 2013, and I have 2016, same results. I hate to have to resort to using web mail, I like having my message on my computer, for when the inevitable happens.
