@_xyzzy_ I just verified the ability to set the password for my sub account from my main account. From MyATT, first I select "Manage My Plan", on the resulting page it lists my main email and sub-account. I select the "Create or manage email accounts" link and I get "Manage Sub-Accounts". I only have the one listed but on that sub-account, I click "edit" which brings me to the details for that sub-account. At the bottom is the option to set a new password. This does require knowing the current password, though, so it is not an option for someone who has forgotten their sub-account password. Perhaps I wasn't clear earlier if you thought I meant you could change the password for a sub-account from your main email account. I'm talking about the page where you create and manage the sub-accounts.

May be able to do it with Forgot ID/Password. But if that doesn't work you should log that account into myAT&T and do it from there.

You actually log into your main account. There is an option to manage sub-accounts where you can set the password for any sub-account.

NOPE!
First thing I tried was logging in to my main account and when selecting a sub account it said" Sorry, can't do this, please call 1 800 att has poor service" (excuse my snark).
Kudos for ATT that I was able to call a different number and robot was able to send me a temporary password. BUT !!!! After using the temp password to get in and then trying to change the password, it sends me to the login for my main account and wants to change that password. Currently several of my sub accounts have been locked out and when I try to change the password, it goes to the main account and wants to change that password and that is the only option I get.

@Cheesed off customer Well, I only have one sub account and I have successfully changed the password from my main account. Just going off what worked for me. Can’t explain why it doesn’t work for you. It’s been awhile since I did that, maybe something changed.

I believe you have to log into the sub-account to change its password just like you have to do that for secure mail keys. I don't have a sub-account so I cannot verify this but I am sure that's what you have to do for secure mail keys since that problem has come up before in these forums.

I thought I understood. I knew you could mange the sub-accounts from the primary since that's where you need to create them in the first place. I guess they treat secure mail keys differently where you do have to log into the sub-account to set or change them. And yes, you need to get into the primary if you don't know the sub-account's password. Maybe Forgot ID/Password works if you know the security questions or didn't use the email address of the one you are trying to recover as the account's recovery email address. Can't believe how many people do that.
