How to Setup a New att.net Email Account
Setting up a new att.net email account is simple and free! Check out the how-to steps below to learn how to create one!
1.) Go to start.att.net> Sign up.
2.) Enter your wireless number and ZIP Code.
3.) Enter the texted confirmation code sent to your wireless number, then select Continue.
4.) Fill in the information to create your new AT&T email address and password.
5.) Enter your profile information and security questions and answers.
6.) Follow the prompts to verify your account.
7.) Print or copy your email address, password, and security questions information.
8.) You’ll see a page that says You have successfully created an AT&T Member ID. Select Continue.
9.) On the att.net homepage, select Mail to go to your new inbox.
10.) Follow the prompts to customize and set up your inbox.
Your email account has been created and you’re all set to begin using AT&T email.
The directv.net email service has been discontinued. For assistance in retrieving your email data, you may contact our advanced email support specialists by emailing: Attnetmail-support@att.com.

I can't access my Directv.net email account since 2/1/19, but the notice I received (and link below) said I would have access until 3/1/2019. The login page says that my account is "suspended." Help!
I need to save my contact list and have important emails that I need to forward to my new email address.
Directv customer service has not been helpful or knowledgeable. They keep referring me to https://support.directv.com/ordering-dtv/wildblue-internet-is-going-away which does not address this problem.

No Directv.net email access since 2/1/2019 and no one can explain why despite the notices I keep receiving!!! AT&T, Directv and Wildblue (Viasat/Exede) do not care!!!

Hi @clanlintz,
We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with your account being incorrectly placed into ‘suspended’ status. Your account has been updated to allow you to access your email contacts and email data. Please be advised your email account will still only be available through 3/1/2019, as indicated in the letter you received.
