how do I ADD a website to my EXCEPTIONS list?
ATT internet security is blocking my access to a few websites, the web page error says using the ATT Home Manager says I can add them to my exceptions list - but when I login there is no mention of any exceptions tool anywhere.

We can help you unblock websites in the Smart Home Manager, lennbrown.
When you get a notification in the Smart Home Manager that a website was blocked, click the message, then Allow Access for the blocked URL. This will add the URL to your whitelist. If you go to Settings > App Preferences > View Exceptions, the website will be listed there. If you're unable to see these options in the app, do it from the Smart Home Manager website.
If you need further assistance with unblocking websites, just let us know.

Thanks for your response. The only messages I have in my MESSAGE CENTER are from ATT when I attempt to activate ATT Internet Security. I have tried many times over many months and it always fails giving this message: "Couldn't Enable Internet Security - We had a technical issue, please try enabling again." Also, when I click on APP PREFERENCES, there is no option for VIEW EXCEPTIONS, only Network & Troubleshooting, Updates and Reminders, Security Alerts and New Device Joins WiFi - all of which are enabled.
Could the problem be that without the Internet Security feature activated that impacts the VIEW EXCEPTIONS showing up?
Any other suggestions?

Thank you for getting back to us, lennbrown. We appreciate it.
One thing comes to mind about the Smart Home Manager, is that not only can you use the Smart Home Manager website, like Aminah has mentioned, but you can do the same thing on the app as well.
To answer your question about the activation of the Internet Security being activated, your answer is "Yes it can." With out that being activated, you will have to go through and use your computers security to make the exceptions. To do that, you might want to contact Microsoft Support, if you are using Windows, or Apple Support, if you are using a Macintosh.
If you have any more questions, we would love to hear them.
Thank you for posting with the AT&T Community Forums.

I have the exact situation as lennbrown. There is no place to enter an exception and it's blocking a valid website I need to access. How can I stop the blocking without having the exceptions available?

I have done online chat and called ATT support - spending hours with no solution. Twice the chat reps gave up when they could not find a solution and disconnected the chat session like cowards. On the phone they gave me an email address to send details to (G20695@att.com) but the email bounced back. If I turn off my wifi, I can access the blocked sites from my ATT phone, but when wifi is on, the sites are blocked from my phone and desktop...If anyone gets an answer, please post!

When you get denied do the following.
In your smart manager app, therr is a message symbol (like text message app icon) on the top right side.
Click on the message symbol.
You will have notifications.
Click on the latest one.
Towards way at the bottom, you should see the website that was blocked.
Below it, you will see "Allow Access" button.
Click on it and you are all set.
(You may have to do this a few times as the blocked website may take you to other sites)

I have been trying this with customer service for a month now and no one seems to have idea about what is the issue. I don't see option of exception list in my profile. When I try to activate the internet security, it says it will take couple of minute but never gets activated. Any help is appreciated.

What if I don't see any message like that in the message list in my app? What if the only message that ever appear is to Activate internet security which never gets activated.
Its been the same state, irrespective of how many times I uninstall and install the app again or even try on website.
