Getting Passed the Unmerge Page

I have deleted my account per the unmerge instructions on the my AT&T website.  But when I go to log into Yahoo it brings me to an unmerge page.  I click on the unmerge button but it times out without finalizing the unmerge.  I spent most of the day talking to very unhelpful AT&T customer service people to be told they don't know how to fix it.  Please let me know who does not and how I can fix this problem so I can access my email again.
