Hi,

We apologize about the ads. Yahoo and AT&T work together to provide a free E-mail service that provides all the latest features, while trying to keep it a free service to our customers.

For anyone encountering issues with their computers losing connection are having issues with the browser, we would be glad to help. If you could let us know the OS and browsers you have tried. Try clearing your cache and cookies. Sometimes a virus scanner can cause issues. Disable it for testing purposes, and if that is the case, make an exception for this.

Put this in as a filter for your ad blocker. It will stop the calls for video in an empty folder.

While it doesn't seem like Yahoo provides a way to disable these in the current UI, I have heard that if you go into "Basic" mode(the older version), it will no longer show the video ads.

That can be changed by going to Yahoo Mail, hovering over the gear icon, clicking "Settings", then under "Viewing Mail" you should see "Mail Version" which has a check bubble for "Basic" mode.

It's not a direct way to removing it, but it's a work around method that appears to not include them if you don't care about using the older form of AT&T Yahoo Mail.

I honestly did not know that switching to the old view was even and option.

I think with the basic version, there is some things you can't do...unless they changed it... Been a while since I was in Basic..... I had to go to Basic before because of something Yahoo did..

I have two gmail accounts forwarded to come automatically into my att.yahoo email..

will these still work in Basic..  I need these to work

 thanks.

I just tested sending a message to a gmail account I use for a blog I have.. it does not work in Basic.. it is NOT coming into my folder...  it works in the New email but NOT the old basic

Yahoo needs to fix this mess !!!!    this is crazy...   If I hit the X to close out all the videos,

it puts a message on the screen,  "How About checking out some great videos from att.net"

WHY can't Yahoo simply put that message in the emply box and NOT the videos.. it is

helping to slow down my email...

This is absolutely horrible..  they should give people an option to kill them permanently...

Sure enough, switching to basic does get rid of those horrible videos.  I agree that it should be an option, not mandatory.  Come on AT & T, don't you get enough money?  It is the most annoying thing that has come along!!!

I recently started getting videos that pop up on my mail page. I did not ask for this, I do not want them, they are of no interest to me, and even if I wanted them, they take forever to load. I prefer to keep my mail page for mail only. The ads are bad enough, now I have these unwanted videos. Is there any way to turn them off??

Does anyone from ATT actually READ these things, or do they go to a robot? Is there an actual, physical, home office so that I could confront someone face-to-face? You seem to have the attitude that you can do absolutely anything, and the customer has no choice but to accept it. I'm about this close >< to cancelling ALL my ATT services and switching to a competitor.

By the way, I know this is not the right place for it, but Directv absolutely SUCKS!! Don't fall for their sales pitch, like I unfortunately did.

I use Windows 10 with IE11 and the Yahoo Mail has been a nightmare. This is very recent... less than a month. I never used to encounter this issue before. PLEASE fix. I can't compose an email without it freezing after typing just a few words.

Thank you.
