Email

I’m trying to delete an alias email account. I am to delete or disable an alias email account from my primary BellSouth email account in U-verse. It doesn’t even show in my account settings in U-verse when I go to edit my account settings.  None of the answers & solutions From  ATT support work. If I log into yahoo the alias email account shows in yahoo email settings, but it’s greyed out & cant be deleted or edited. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi @kgbcmb,

We will be delighted to help. You can delete an AT&T email address if it's not connected to a paid AT&T service or if it’s been 30-60 days since service cancellation or disconnect. Here's a web-site with how to delete old AT&T E-Mails. If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!

Nothing on the site provided has anything to do with deleting an email account. I want to delete an alias account off of my primary account.

Hello @kgbcmb,

We understand that you're still having trouble deleting email account. Don't worry, we can point you in the right direction.

Please take a look at this thread here that has a solution to manage and locate sub accounts. Please let us know if that helps.

All I can suggest at this point is to search out the error to possible suggestions on dealing with it.  If you are using the documented server settings I still think this is a client side issue.  I still won't completely dismiss it's a server side issue because, well, it's yahoo's servers and but they have no way of knowing you are using outlook and this problem doesn't affect everybody using email clients.  But many legacy account users do have account problems since att and yahoo decided to unmerge those accounts (bellsouth.net is one of those) which is beyond the client's control (hence the suggestions to change passwords in the hopes the account data is cleared up or the secure mail key not because of it real reason for use but it's one less use of the account password).
