Emails are being routed to trash not to my inbox

Do you have a legacy account (e.g. sbcglobal.net, pacbell.net, bellsouth.net, etc., i.e., any att domain other than att.net)?
Accessing only the webmail or do you also using email client apps (e.g., Thunderbird, Outlook, mobile email client apps, etc.)?
If using email clients make sure they are not deleting incoming emails.
Also check filters on the webmail (click settings gear -> more settings -> filters).
