Email Issues (.sbcglobal.net)

When I send out emails - on the recipient end, my email name shows as "AT&T Support (my email address)". That causes a problem because the recipient thinks they are receiving emails from AT&T. As a result, my email are not read or responded too.

Also, I keep getting emails about my email account shutting down if I don't update information. I'm not sure what I am suppose to do or if this is a fake request.

Is AT&T doing away with email accounts ending in .sbcglobal.net?

I appreciate any assistance you can provide on this matter.

We're here to help, @djroys1!

It sounds like what you are seeing may be an e-mail signature. We suggest looking into how to Change Your Signature as well as other display options.

In terms of sbcglobal emails, we still fully support and provide assistance with them. Due to what you are receiving, it is important to learn to Identify Fake AT&T E-mails.

Let us know if you have any questions!

This is not a signature issue. When a person receives an email from me, on the FROM line it shows "AT&T Support + my email address." That is very uncommon.

Sample of Emails I have been receiving about my email account:

  1. Go to att.net, click on Mail and login to your webmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon at the upper right to open settings
  3. Click on More Settings
  4. Click Mailboxes
  5. Click your account under Mailbox list
  6. Your name should be on the top line.  Is it?
