Email coming in with prodigy address instead of my att.net address

Yesterday I noticed some of my incoming email addressed to a prodigy account instead of my att.net email address.  What is going on?

No, I would not say she acknowledged there was a problem. I didn't realize then that the fake address changes. I do recommend checking your Archive and Junk folders. I am not sure whether to delete these emails with the false address? I have been, but then I have no proof. Just found a new one! AT&T, are you there?

Great news! That's what I suspected. Thanks so much for sharing what you
learned.

That is good news--although I still think the number of phishing emails has increased. Perhaps this problem is unrelated to the recent unauthorized use of my Amazon account? Emails from Amazon in particular were addressed to the faux email and were going to my Archive folder: that is why I missed an account alert on 3/3/2017.

Perhaps it was a glitch and not a hacker. However, when I looked at Recent Activity on my email account last night, I was horrifed to see that there has been activity on my email account this week in Brazil and the Ukraine and in Algeria last week, not to mention Russia last month. I haven't left the US since 2004, so . . . . Has anyone else with this prodigy.net problem seen this? To view my recent activity, I moused over my name in the upper-right corner and then clicked on "Account Info." Then, in the menu on the left, I clicked on Recent Activity. Much of it was legitimate, but some of the email applications were not. Does this mean I was receiving emails from those countries? Or something?? Not a techie here. I wondered if I am the only one with unusual Recent Activity on my account. By the way, I have done virus scans and a malware scan this morning--nothing turned up.

I don't have any other issues with my email. And, the prodigy issue does appear to be resolved.

Yes, I'm having the same problem.  Spent over two hours this morning with an AT&T email technician and then she said it's a problem with the Uverse server.  Haven't had time to contact them again to talk to an AT&T Uverse server technician.  What is going on?  Will AT&T apologize when they get this fixed?  Mine is the same, the email address that is used to send to me is h.r.alph139.prodigy.net, but the number keeps changing 123 128 132 , etc.  I changed my password and got two confirmation emails at the exact same time...one to me with my actual email and one to this progidy.net address.

Started happening about a week ago or early this week.

While I am no longer seeing the strange prodigy.net emails, I suspect something is still off with my account. For one thing, I just changed my password--and I again got TWO emails informing me that my password had been updated. Why two? Does anyone else get two emails when changing passwords?

I looked at the two emails more closely: they were not the same, although both went to my normal address. One used my name in the email; one did not. I should probably look for a more appropriate thread. My concern is no longer with the prodigy.net address but with my suspicion that someone is monitoring my account.
