DNS Name Server

My Name Server is CBRU.BR.NS.ELS-GMS.ATT.NET according to Who is.  Who can I contact to change the SPF Record?

Hey @Rthomas74, we understand that you have concern regarding DNS server. Let’s get the help you need.

We recommend to check Email settings:

  1. Double check the outbound mail settings.
    • There are instances in which we have seen the outbound settings change. 
  2. If they are correct. There has been a recent update on Email security with Email clients.

With the DNS server, you can use anyone that is available. The most common ones are your Open DNS servers and Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). Also, ours is 68.94.156.1 and 68.94.157.1.

If you are trying to figure out what your current configuration is, on a Windows computer, you can open your command prompt and type in 

ipconfig -all

and it will show up under DNS Servers.

@Rthomas74 , I'm afraid Bruce's clueless response is typical of what you can expect from AT&T on this matter.  They just don't understand what you're asking.

On the other hand, even if they did understand, it wouldn't matter: AT&T is not going to allow you any input on what the SPF for the ATT.NET domain is.    If you have your own domain and are contracting with someone for DNS services for your domain, then you should be able to get them to change the SPF, DKIM and/or DMARC records for that domain.  But AT&T won't be the one to talk to, they don't host DNS servers for their consumer Internet accounts.
