Can't use email without CELL phone number

Why in the world can I not log into my att yahoo email unless I have a text message phone? I do not have a cell phone number to give even if I wanted to! I only have a landline that does not receive text messages for the verification code. I am completely unable to access my email otherwise and need help. Att you need to adjust this! Not everyone has access or the resources to provide a cell phone.

We're here to help with your email login, @cherries9351!

Have you attempted to reset your password via our online tool? You can do so by viewing the section titled I don't know my password and when promoted for a phone number, attempt to use a different recovery email if you have a secondary email.

If that doesn't work, we suggest that you contact Yahoo support directly as they would be best suited to assist with the authentication feature for their web page.

Thank you for choosing the AT&T Community Forums!

When AT&T is providing that authentication for the e-mail addresses its responsible for?  I don't think so.

You log onto Currently Mail and get a screen asking for a cell phone number.  This has been going on for several months.  There was a work around by just hitting the back arrow on web browser but it doesn't work as of 6/23/2022.  I can't get to my email unless I give a cell phone number to receive a text.

Please repair the website!!!
