Can't sign in to email account

I have email account [email scrubbed] since 2005, before Bellsouth was acquired by ATT. Since 2016 I live in Germany but use this account as my main email address. Recently I started to experience difficulties because signing system forces my to enter phone number on top of password and login. But I do not have american 10 digit number I have only German 11-digit number plus country cod (+49). I can't loose this email account because all my american retirement funds associated with it!  What I have to do? How I can save my email account? I really need help!

We'll do all we can to help you sign in to your email account, Eugene_of_Germany.

 

To avoid having to enter a phone number when you sign in, we suggest that you create a secure mail key. This will help you avoid most sign-in complications, and you won't have to enter your password each time you sign in. If that doesn't work, try resetting your password to refresh and resync your email.

 

At this time, our ability to assist with password resets is unavailable, so we can't reset the password for you. We're working to get it back up and running as soon as possible, but we have no estimated time of resolution right now.

Hi, Aminah,

thanks alot for your replay. Unfortunately I can neither reset password nor create security key. Any attemp to do this ends up with the screen demanding 10-digit phone number.

I can't manage the account, when I try I get a message:

Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://www.att.com/olam/emailAcctIsp?" on this server.

I suppose it is owing to my foreign IP address.

Some other details. I'm using Firefox browser to get to mail box. Previously for years I was using MS Outlook (up to 2013 version)  but since last December it is not supported any more. 

"My Profile" consists of Personal Info - my name, gender and zip code; I can change only gender; "Account security" doesn't let me in and sends me to "update" screen with phone number. Then I have in My Profile Preferences and Recent Activity tabs and finally "AT&T Account settings"  where I end up with "Access denied..." message.
