Can't log into Yahoo email

I had an old sbcglobal email address.  I have used a Yahoo email address for 10 years.  I'm sorry i don't know the technical words, but the emails that used to go to sbcglobal were automatically routed to my Yahoo email address.  I don't use the sbcglobal address any more.  I was having trouble signing into my Yahoo email.  Instead of taking me to the password page, it directed  me to an AT&T page to reset my password.  I contacted AT&T.  They advised since I no longer have UVerse, to delete the old sbcglobal account.  I did that.  Now, when I try to log into my Yahoo email, I either get a message saying that my AT&T [ Yahoo! account has been deactivated and must be reactivated.  It gives AT&T phone #'s to call.  When I call, they say they can't reactivate because I don't have a UVerse account.  Or, I get a message from AT&T saying "we're sorry we can't process your request at this time".  Can ANYONE help???? I use  my Yahoo email for EVERYTHING.  Thank you.

Hi @MonaVeronica,

I am sorry you are having trouble with your email. I am more than pleased to assist with this issue!

I totally understand how important it is to be able to access your yahoo email right away. The first thing I will suggest is to attempt to sign in at start.att.net and see if it lets you en there. Additionally I will be contacting you via private message to offer further assistance.

Have a great rest of your day!

I finally was able to get assistance from a technical specialist (?).  They reactivated  my old sbcglobal account - that someone at AT&T told me to deactivate to solve my original problem - and now i can get back into my email.  It is very frustrating because i got a message with phone numbers to call telling me i needed to reactive my account.  When i called the numbers they act like it can't be done or they have no idea what i am talking about.  After approximately 6 hours on the phone with what i feel was every employee at AT&T, i found someone willing to create a trouble account and have it looked into.  They reactivated the account (which allegedly couldn't be done) and within 24 hours i could access my email.

Great Fix, Thanks so very much!!!  After years of having an account and no changes of service, all of a sudden, I was unable to access my AT&T Yahoo Email.  I spent days thinking I must have hit a setting or something.  Never could figure it out.  I thought I would contact the 800 for support.  Spent 1.5 hours going over everything then the rep told me it must be my laptop 😞

After hanging up, I couldn't just let it go and that's when I found this thread.  Should have looked first!  Thanks again for the help!!!
