Cannot create secure mail key

I have read every article on creating a secure mail key and it's no where to be found.  I have Outlook on my desktop (older version) and Windows 8.1 on my PC.  There is no place anywhere that has any of the "buttons" that are shown in any of the articles I have found about creating a secure mail key.

After spending HOURS like everyone else, I found the work around for Create a secure mail key.  It is NOT on the ATT profile page - Stop looking!  This worked for me.

Go to the link - Create a Secure Mail Key - Email Support (att.com)

Scroll through the article until you find the link under Additional secure mail key notes.

Click Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool (https://ufix.att.com/portal/index.html?go=emailConfig)

Select your configuration you want to troubleshoot.

On the Troubleshoot & Resolve page click the word "here"  (2nd word ) which takes you to - https://www.att.com/olam/passthroughAction.myworld?actionType=ManageAppPwd

I was able to delete my old Secure Mail Key that no longer worked and create a new one.

I know how frustrating this has been for everyone!!!!!!!!  I hope this works for you.

What does your Profile page look like when you log on to your account at ATT.COM?

When I click Manage Profile, I get "Please give us a moment, we're almost there" and never goes anywhere - and the address is https://www.att.com/my/#/passthrough/PROFILEOVERVIEW

Mine resolves, though it takes it a bit (10-15 seconds).  Try another browser, and/or your current browser in "in cognito" mode.

Mines has gone 3 hours and still not getting there.  Ok - I cleared all my cashes, but I'm not sure was "in cognito" means.  I have to go somewhere, but I'll try again tomorrow.  Thanks so much for your help

You need to go to ATT.com and login as the account that has the email connectivity issue. Go to manage account. Pan down near the bottom you will see "Manage Secure Mail key" in blue on the left. You type in a word and submit, and that will generate a Secure Mail Key. Copy that key and paste it in Outlook in place of your password. None of your other settings should need to be changed unless you've messed with them trying to fix this problem. Outlook should test successfully.

Where is "Manage Account"?  Under my account there's a "Manage Profile".  And even with that I'm getting stuck at the address https://www.att.com/my/#/passthrough/PROFILEOVERVIEW   The screen says "Please give us a moment, we're almost there".  It goes like that for hours.  Is there somebody I can talk to on the phone or chat that can walk me through this trouble I'm having?

@RenayCA - I have the same problem since March 11.  I along with so many others do not have the create secure mail key option.  Every link I click-on takes me to the same ATT instructions on creating the secure mail key.  I called ATT.......no help at all.  I was told to reach out to Outlook......they couldn't do anything about it....but possibly their connectivity team can help me for a fee.  I tried that once and the team had no clue what I was taking about.  I figured it our myself.  I know what to do......but I can't because I don't have the "secure mail key" option.  As for the "Please give me a moment" message....it's come up and goes round & round.....I "x" out....log back in.

Try using a different browser to login to ATT.com.

@SBITS - OMG!!!  You are an absolute ANGEL.  It worked.  You did much more than AT&T.  I just logged on to my e-mail thru Outlook after 2 weeks of not being to access e-mail thru Outlook.  I can't THANK YOU enough.  I've read these instructions over and over again and couldn't figure it out.......Thank you sooooo much...........be safe.....stay safe......you are WONDERFUL.  I am sooooo HAPPY.  THANK YOU.    :-)
