Cannot access email, forgotten security questions

I've had an email address for about 10 years now. My family used to be AT&T customers but have not been for at least 4 years. When I go to sign in, first I am taken to a Yahoo login page, where I enter the email address and then I am taken to the AT&T login page, where I am asked to enter my "User ID" and password. For User ID I entered my address; however, I get a message saying "For security, this account is locked. To sign in, please reset your password using the Forgot password link. Care Code: 203.2 [FL001]"

However, when I try to use the Forgot password link, I get taken to a page asking for my user ID and last name, and when I enter them, it asks me for some security questions that I don't remember the answers to, as I set them up probably 10 years ago. There doesn't seem to be any way I can reset them or get around them. I'm not sure how I can access this email account. I am not an AT&T customer so I can't use the "find my user ID" page or any page that asks me to sign in to AT&T.

How can I access this account? Is there a way I can reset the security questions?

Even though you don’t have at&t active accounts anymore,you can always call 1-800-288-2020 for password reset assistance.
