Bellsouth.net account locked: Using correct username and password

I used to have at&t as my internet provider and created a bellsouth.net email account to handle all of my electronic communication correspondence.

However, I used the correct (checked thoroughly; never changed my password) username and password, and the account got locked today because of too many failed attempts. I do not remember my security questions and answers. Please provide an effective solution as there aren't any in any forum online.
