Amazon password reset emails go directly to Archive Folder

When I couldn't log into my Amazon account yesterday, I tried repeatedly to reset my password. I thought I wasn't getting the emails: then I discovered they had been going straight to my Archive Folder. Another odd thing was that the emails weren't addressed to my AT&T ID!

I've called Amazon multiple times, and the issue is still unresolved. Meanwhile, the Amazon reset emails go straight to my Archive. I called AT&T support, and supposedly the matter is being looked into. Just wondered if anyone else had this problem with the Archive Folder? Or with "misdirected" emails?

Hi @MotherofFive,

We are sorry about the issues you are having with your E-mail. We have not seen anything about E-mails going straight to archive. Your issue does sound like there may be an issue with the account, but for others having similar issues, make sure you check your rules under the settings gear icon. For E-mails coming in under a different E-mail, we are still investigating this issue, and we ask people having this issue to please reach out to us by clicking here.

I can happily say that I have stopped getting the emails that ended in prodigy.net, so thank you to AT&T for fixing that issue. I wanted to point out that it was those emails NOT addressed to my user ID that were going straight to Archive. I don't think my account was hacked (although my Amazon account most definitely has been hijacked--that is not your problem, but it is something for AT&T customers to be wary of).

Hi! I would like to say that my original question--about why some emails were going straight to my archive--has NOT been answered. Given that my Amazon account was being used by someone else at the time (confirmed by Amazon and now corrected), I find it interesting that it was only my Amazon emails going straight to Archive. Please note that none of my emails are going straight to Archive any more. Once I had access to my Amazon account, I changed the email address associated with it, as a precaution.

Another odd thing is that I continue to receive duplicate emails from AT&T. Why? Just now, I received two emails from the AT&T community forum asking if my question had been answered. It has not. Is it normal to receive duplicate emails from AT&T?

Hi,

We are hoping everything is working fine now and nothing is going to archive. We found out the reason for mail going straight to archive was due to a mail server issue on our end, which has been corrected. With getting 2 E-mails, see if they are coming to the same user. If you have multiple E-mail addresses merged together, that could be the reason for 2 e-mails coming from the Forums. Also, if you are using a client E-mail program, make sure everything is good in the webmail and that you are not getting 2 that way.
