Uverse internet overcharged and bad service

My service keeps getting worse and worse as the price goes up. I was charged for 18 speed for 6 months to a year and could only have 12. Customer service said they would credit the extra amount to my bill but they never did. Also when I did upgrade my plan they said I had a service call and charged me...finally got that dropped. Then they started charging me a equipment fee that I didn't use to have. They are trying to say I received new equipment but I didn't and an still using the router that I had when I signed up for service. This was supposed to be credited to my account and never has been. So why is it that although my service is getting worse I am being charged more and getting charged for things I didn't even have or with the speed sold an upgrade and charged monthly for a service I couldn't even get? And there is a problem with the service going out every couple of nights for a period of time anywhere from 15 mins up to a couple hours. Can some one please tell me what is going on?

hope I'm posting this in the right place...any help would be greatly appreciated

 

I started to post and thought to search to find out if others have same complaint...bethleegrayson's post sounds like my problem

 

Numerous times I've been in contact with AT&T...chats and phone calls

 

have gotten promises and still no resolve

 

Not upset at agents, understand they are following AT&T's direction...tired of the canned responses they use...more than once have been told I reached wrong department when managers switched me because they could not help me...been told computers are down and they cannot access my account, been told they will me call back on specific day...two agents put in claims for me and gave me dates when I'd see a fix on my account...no one ever called on the specific day...so I would start all over again 

 

all I see on my account is added new fees...charges for each time an agent tweaked my service ??? they would tell me I can get faster speed and I would say I can't that it is not available in my area and they said it's the same cost I'm switching you to faster...now my bill has charges for switches to faster

 

am frustrated...there is no difference in service...no matter what speed I'm paying for it is the same erratic slow speed...it goes out often...recently found out have been paying for years for speed that I could not get here...found out by doing speed tests I had less than half of the speed/s I had paid for for years...been dealing with this and poor service for over two months...

 

insult to injury last two weeks have been without phone and internet service for days at a time...technicians came out twice and fixed problems at the pole...several days at a time no phone or internet

 

feeling forced to leave AT&T after being a customer all my adult life near 5 decades for phone and internet...I don't want to switch but feel taken advantage of...charged for speeds unavailable to me/my area and think I bought router over five years ago...then to suddenly have a $10 equipment fee added to my monthly bill after talking to LOYALTY people recently...sheesh
