Upgraded Internet Planned for my Residential Area?

Hello -

I currently have AT&T Internet Basic 1.5 where I currently live because that is all that is available in my area. I have been told over the phone for a year that AT&T's top priority is to get fiber (or an upgraded plan) to all AT&T customers. However, no details have ever been provided and my current plan just doesn't work for my job when I have to telecommute. My question is... does anybody know if there are plans to upgrade the internet service plans in my area? If so, when and what will be available? I live in Benbrook, TX, Zip Code: 76126.
