Upgrade Bait and switch?

Why won’t att honor their listed on web page price of $30/ month for internet 50 speed. When I went to checkout it came up as $50/month. So far on phone with att rep for 57 minutes but he can’t resolve, tried chat, posed questions,it said 1hr for reply. I took screenshot of webpage that I am referencing.

Would like them to honor their ad

Are you an existing customer? I bet that is an introductory price for new customers only.

no, longstanding at least 15 yrs came up on their website when signed in on my account. awaiting their resolution

Work for a competing telecom company, so I wouldn’t spend too much time fighting it, AT&T promotions like ours are pretty much set and there isn’t anything much an agent can do to change them. Customer retention might be able to offer a discount for a period of time but nothing permanent probably.
