With two people gaming simultaneously at that speed tier, it's possible that the games will not perform as well as they could. However, it depends on a few different factors, such as the games themselves, the devices you're playing them on (console, phone, PC, etc.), connection type, and more.

If you have multiple devices on a plan that cannot support them, your gaming experience may suffer. This is because you may not have enough bandwidth to play and each device shares a portion of your speed.

You do not list the speed tier available, ATT on copper/fiber hybrid will only list the maximum speed provided for the address using either ADSL2+ (speeds up to 18) or VDSL (speeds from 25 to 100). All speeds are the same monthly cost regardless of speed availability.

If you currently have cable, can order and have installed ($99 cost) the ATT internet and run both for 30 days as comparison. 

Direct Fiber will offer different speed tiers of 300, 500, 1000, 2000, and 5000. Each has a different rate, depending on what your willing to pay from around $60 to $180.
