Internet Service
In our area, we have the 18 Mbps plan. I have tried countless times to contact a technician or an engineer. I live a Mile away from a main highway, and we have a large Node basically in our front yard. My wife has had to turn down 11 remote jobs and I am about to take a position in my company that will have me work remotely two to three days a week. I'm not asking for Fiber, I know that its coming to this area eventually, just 50mbps. That's what's required for most of her positions. I just want to speak to an engineer to discuss options. What can i do on my end. I find it hard to believe that 18Mbps is the only option for my location.

Pic of the NODE?
I suspect it is a cross box and not a VRAD. The VRAD has power meter with a separate cross box.
Copper upgrades where completed December 2015 with the end of the 10 year Uverse build out (2006 to Dec 2015) reaching 33 million addresses with VDSL currently offering speeds of 100, 75, 50 and 25 based upon facilities and copper loop length from the facilities. Also upgraded was 24 million addresses to ADSL2+ with best speed of 18, 10, 5, 3, 1.5 and .76 again based upon copper loop length.
VDSL addresses would have had Uverse IPTV option when available while ADSL2+ would have been DirecTV satellite tv option.
Since 2016 ATT has been expanding fiber to about 3 million addresses per year out of estimated 60+ million or 5% of footprint being upgraded each year. Currently 22 million has fiber availability with 8 million to yet be added out of 38 million waiting. About 1 in 5 will have fiber FTTP be 2026.
Can you order local cable service? If not faster speeds would be from satellite internet of FWA.
There are over 2900 ISPs in the IS, most addresses have at least 5 to choose from.
Unless willing to relocate you’re waiting for an IF , WHEN moment over next several years that may not come.

@Theharrz
You're probably misunderstanding how Att rolls, or doesn't roll in this case.
The only thing that matters is what the ordering system on att.com sees for your address. There is no discussion.
