What Is AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet

AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet is a service that uses an outdoor antenna to provide a strong signal for internet connectivity. AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet is only available in select (typically rural) areas. AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet provides Internet download speeds of 10Mbps or over. Check out the cool video below for more information!

Note: AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet is not available in all areas but is working to expand. The AT&T Community team does not know if or when certain areas will be expanded or if it will have AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet or other internet services.

NAT and Gaming

At this time, Fixed Wireless is not capable of adjusting the NAT. AT&T does have information if or when this will be supported.

When is this coming to upstate South Carolina?  Mainly, northern Greenville/Spartanburg Counties.  How far do you have to be from a tower?  I’m about 1.5 miles from the nearest one.

When are they going to stop denying people Fixed Wireless Internet because they can instead get Uverse 768 kb/s? Even tho the uverse internet is way slower?

When will AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet be available in Indiana - southern Vigo county (47802)?

We’re dying here. Only options are satellite (unreliable), and Verizon (fast, reliable, but extremely expensive and VERY data limited).

I have been checking on availability on this service since October 2016. Around first of december the website  said it was available. But when i call, i am told it is not available. I have been calling about 1 once a week since then. Here is my question, why can't we get an estimated date of availability that way i or anyone else doesn't have to keep calling and getting the same answer. " We don't have any additional information." Or at least fix the website so that it does not give us false information.

Also how is RISE BROADBAND already able to offer the same service at my residence and ATT cannot.

Our existing DSL service never reaches the up to speeds and the average speeds are well below the up to speeds.

I live in Shawnee Oklahoma.  I bought my house last April and the guy I bought it from had dsl.  When I got moved in I was told I could not get dsl even though the previous owner had it.  It is beyond ridiculous how att treats its loyal customers.  I read about this fixed wireless internet and was super excited until I read that they aren’t even coming to Oklahoma.  At least so far they aren’t.  I don’t understand it. Att has to be one of the worst companies on earth.  They don’t give a rats rear about the customer.  They are too busy trying to get people to switch to their crappy direct tv.  Here is a tip att, if guy want to get people to buy your satellite product then you should have bought dish.  Dish network blows direct tv away on every level.  If fixed wireless Is coming to Oklahoma I would love to know when.

AT&T is the worst company BY FAR. I have TWO neighbors that just had Fixed Wireless Internet installed LAST WEEK. They live less than 50 yards from me. The tower that it feeds from is less than a mile from my house. (I can literally see it from my window). And even though two of my neighbors have it, the field technician that installed it said I could get it, AND the tower is visible from my house, they tell me it isn't available in my area whenever I call. F**k you, AT&T. I will be cancelling my Direct TV services and switching to Dish as well as switching my cell phone provider to ANYONE other than you sorry pieces of sh*t. Also, the customer service at Hughes Net is more professional and knowledgeable than the clowns you have answering the phones. Each time I call and ask why it isn't available in my area they tell me a different lie. Every. Single. Time. Oh, and one person actually told me that it was probably available at my house but the system AT&T uses to check addresses is out dated so that's why it's showing unavailable. I lost it whenever she told me that. Anyways, eat a d*ck AT&T.

I'm soon to be in the same shape as others here, as I'm moving out of the St Louis Metro area into one of a few rural options.  NONE of them have AT&T U-Verse or ADSL available.  Most have an incredibly strong LTE signal on my cell phone.  Yet, all zip codes in this area that I've tried say not available.  What makes it available?  When will it become available?

I called AT&T to see if we could get the Fixed Wireless Antenna service since my current Uverse internet is only 5 MBS. I figured the wireless solution would be faster. Our hotspot can only get one bar of 4G LTE so it's really slow. Three different departments gave me the same stupid answer. Since I have Uverse internet available I cannot have the Fixed Wireless Antenna. No explanation as to why this is so. What a crock!

AT&T is a joke. I live in a brick house and most everyone on my road has DSL and I live directly in the middle of them all but they say it isn’t available. The neighbor that lives closest to me (not even 20 yards) just had Fixed Wireless installed about 3 weeks ago. I was excited because I just knew I would be able to get it as well. Nope. I called and they gave me the same run around. I even gave them my neighbors address and was told it isn’t available at that address either. THERE IS AN ANTENNA ON HIS HOUSE. If it isn’t available at that address how did he just have it installed? I will be switching cell phone providers and moving over to Dish. AT&T is a joke. [Edited to comply with Guidelines]
