Hi @Whittlemurf,

If you cancel your AT&T Internet account, you will still have access to your account as long as your account is in good standing. If there is a balance owed on the AT&T internet account, you will lose access to the email until it is resolved. To verify your canceled AT&T Internet account is in good standings, click here to chat with us. If you break terms and conditions, the email will be deactivated.

Thank you for reaching out to AT&T's Community and Forums Team.

My wife and I have had bellsouth.net accounts for many years.  Now we are logged out and can not log back into our email accounts.  My email address is [email scrubbed] and my wife's is [email scrubbed].  We no longer have an AT&T account, but it is my understanding that we are allowed to keep our bellsouth.net addresses despite that.  W need help signing back into our respective emails.  Also we need help to recall the contact email we originally used and out passwords.  Thank you, Alan Cockman 29 August 2020 1:32 PM

We're here to help with your email, @bigowl47.

Have you already tried resetting your email password? What device are you using to sign into your email?

We recommend resetting your email password and also try logging in using another device. Clearing cache and cookies on your device can also help with this issue. Try this and let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

The imap.mail.att.net server error message and my emails were not uploading to my iphone. I tried fixing it on my phone, but error message re-occurred. Tried to login with my bellsouth.net email address like I have for years on my laptop and again my password not recognized. I tried to re-set it got a confirmation of my new password but  I get an error message that there have been too many failed attempts.  How can I fix this problem.

Any idea how to get support from AT&T if I can't log into my Bellsouth account?

I have tried all of the solutions suggested here and have tried a different browser as well. I need to access documents and although I can view emails on my phone, I can't forward what I need to another email address. The spinning website address to re-set the password is strange to anyone I've spoken to about it.

I have the same problem with my Bellsouth.net account.  I understand Yahoo has taken over the Bellsouth accounts but have had no luck going through Yahoo either. I get the map.mail.att.net error message also.

I have had the email address '[email scrubbed]' for over 15 years no. For 15 years, I have never had an issue logging into the email (even after the Yahoo buyout). Obviously, I know my email address and password, BUT now I suddenly have to have an AT&T user ID & password (which are not the same, I've tried) to access it??? I have NEVER had an AT&T account, so how am I supposed to log into an account I don't have. If I create an account, all it does is try to give me a NEW email address.....If anyone has any idea how I can get access to my old email, please let me know! Just about every account I use (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) is connected to this email, so it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Like Barb7997, I have had my bellsouth email for nearly 30 years. Suddenly I am unable to receive emails. Could someone advise what is happening, If At&T is shutting down, or has shut down this email server then common courtesy should dictate that customers should be advised of this. We would have then been able to advise our correspondence of the fact and shift our communications to another email.
