Gateway Authentication failure on first install

I am trying to install a new gateway after a long needed upgrade. I get a solid green broadband LED. However, I get a flashing green service light, followed by a red, and then nothing.


I have to say I am quite frustrated that the newer gateway is giving me such trouble to install. I almost regret asking for a newer model.


Has anyone experienced this and resolved the problem?

Most often sync no service, the symptom described is due to trying to place an unauthorized unit commonly referred to as hot swap.


If gateway was shipped to you from.ATT should have been a swap request placed with an activation date/time.


Also what type of upgrade?

If being upgrade from single pair to bonded pair requires a tech installation that could take several hours.


What is old gateway model?

The replacement gateway?

Type of service you have (ADSL2+, VDSL FTTN or FTTP with ONT)?
