Fixed wireless too slow to function

For the last several days our fixed wireless has been horrible. Sometimes during the day I can get some use out of it but never a full day or at night or on the weekends indicating they have too many customers trying to use it. Two other people that live near us are having the same problems. I work from home and I’m required to have internet.  I have restarted everything in suggestions and it does not improve. We have chatted/called 3 times only to be told it will be fixed in 24 hours/ by 6pm that night and now 72 hours.   And I’m fairly certain AT&T won’t be issuing a credit for when it doesn’t work. I live in a rural area and just want it to work as intended. This has not been an issue until a week ago.  Does anyone have any suggestions? Any equipment I can purchase to boost download speeds?
