Faster internet speeds in my area.

I was just wondering how to find out if there are plans for putting faster internet speeds in my area. Right now we are using 1.7mps. That’s barely enough to run streaming networks. It’s not even enough to run the Direct tv Genie. I can’t work from home nor can my kids do any schooling. Times like these we should probably have a wider range of internet so people can still do what they need to.
