Do not recommend at&t

I have been a loyal customer with phone and wifi for years. I had to move two months ago so you wouldn’t thinking moving would be a big deal. Wrong. I moved in and called them about transferring service. They said they would mail out new equipment(why) and then schedule a day for the tech to come install. I wouldn’t get a tech for at least a week. Okay. I was patient. The equipment comes. They give me a 8 hour window of when the tech should arrive? Never heard of that. The day the tech was supposed to come, never came. So I call the next day and they apologize and would reschedule for another week and a 4 hour window this time. Ok. Trying to be patient. That day comes and it’s getting down to the final hour and I get a message saying the tech may not come or be late. I called AT&T immediately and wasn’t very happy. They magically got ahold of a tech and he was there within two hours. It took him an hour to navigate whatever order the customers service rep put in which they sent my service to another apartment. Props to the guy James that showed up and got me all hooked up. You would think the story ends there. Nope. I begin to get billing notifications of a 300$ bill like two weeks following. I go into a store to try to address this. They tell me I have to go to a corporate store. I go into a corporate store and they tell me to call the 611 number again. Every representative on that line is useless. I was then told they never stopped my service at my old place and that’s where that bill came from. I spend an hour on the phone because they are trying yo cancel that line. I go home and thought everything should be good. Wrong again. The rep cancelled my new places wifi. So I am again without wifi. I call and they cannot trouble shoot by phone so I had to wait another week for another tech. My patience ran out. I immediately called spectrum and pick up that equipment tomorrow and will have wifi same day. I called AT&T shortly after and canceled all my wifi. I will be switching my phone line next. This is such a joke. I am a student and work from home and have been without wifi for two months. No one will probably read this because AT&T does not care about their customers.
